Netbook shipments in the second quarter nearly doubled that of traditional mobile PCs in a business market. It rising 40% from the first quarter, DisplaySearch reported in its quarterly laptop report. Quarter-to-quarter Shipments of traditional laptops increased 22%.
Mini-laptops in the second quarter accounted for 22.2% of mobile PC shipments, almost a fourfold increase from 5.6% of the market in the same period a year ago. Shipments of traditional laptops accounted for 77.8% of the market.
