AT&T Ranks Top in Customer Service Satisfaction Survey

"AT&T Ranks Top in Customer Service Satisfaction Survey"AT&T has once again ranks top in its customer service satisfaction by defeating all its rivals and grabs the highest percentage of customer satisfaction among the four major US wireless carriers. Well, this is AT&T’s second consecutive quarter for ranking high in the customer service, according to the National Customer Service Survey (NCSS) by Vocalabs.

Vocalabs has conducted the survey, where in involved telephone interviews immediately following a customer service call during the last three-month period in 2011 and the report reveals that in the Q4 of 2011, 69 percent of AT&T clientele surveyed were Very Satisfied with their customer service calls.

On the other hand, AT&T customers as well reported the highest level of satisfaction with the AT&T’s customer service representatives and the automated part of the customer service call.

The survey further reveals that Verizon satisfaction rate of 60 percent was unchanged when compared to 2010, while Sprint won’t be happy with its numbers, as it saw the number of very satisfied customers dropping from 71 percent in 2010 to just 59 percent during Q4 2011. Where as for T-Mobile USA, the carrier’s very satisfied mark decrease from 65 percent (in 2010) to 48 percent last quarter.

CEO of Vocalabs, Peter Leppik states that offering a consistently high-quality customer service experience needs continuing commitment and focus throughout an organization. When companies get unfocused, or focus on merely one part of their customer experience or product portfolio, the overall customer experience can suffer.

Today hits the web stating its opposition to AT&T’s proposed $39 billion takeover of T-Mobile USA.

Sprint Plans to Plead AT&T Acquisition of T-Mobile to Congress

Dan Hesse, CEO of Sprint Nextel has confirmed that their company plans to present its difficulties over AT&T’s acquisition of T-Mobile to Congress. In Orlando, Florida, at a wireless industry conference, CEO Dan Hesse stated that he considers the contract might harm the wireless industry as the joint company would have great power.

However, CEO of Sprint Hesse stated that Sprint will file its concerns to Congress during the plead review. While, the senior executive vice president of AT&T, Jim Cicconi, reacted to Dan Hesse’s statement in an e-mail stating that Sprint might have concerns, and AT&T would be glad to attend any concerns they present. Whether, it might be at Justice Department, the FCC or the Congress.

He even added that they have good and compelling answers; which policymakers would willingly understand that any company with whom AT&T vie, may not be particularly optimistic concerning no matter which makes AT&T a better contestant in the market of wireless.

CEO of Sprint, refuse to say whether Sprint had held discussions with T- Mobile. He informed a spectator at the wireless event stating that the acquisition by AT&T would merge to mighty power in the mobile market.

The concerns with regard to AT&T’s $39 billion conquest of T-Mobile had resulted in the decrease of Sprint shares to 14 percent. However, the deal still needs to have regulatory approval. While, here comes a leak report stating that Sprint also held talks about buying T-Mobile.

Apple iPad: AT&T and Verizon Started Selling Apple iPad

Apple iPad: AT&T and Verizon have started selling Apple iPad through their stores; these two major carrier stores started selling Apple iPad from yesterday.

AT&T will sell all the three iPad WiFi + 3G models and Verizon will sell the iPad with WiFi and MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot router. Apple iPad is available through AT&T and Verizon in three versions as 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. The 16 GB Apple iPad is available for $629, 32 GB Apple iPad is available for $729 and Apple iPad 64 GB is available for $829.

Verizon is providing monthly data plan to its customers as $20 per month with 1GB of data, $35 per month for 3GB of date and $50 per month for 5GB of data.

AT&T to sell BlackBerry Torch 9800 from August 12th

BlackBerry comes up with its new smartphone which is dubbed as BlackBerry Torch 9800. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be available from the US mobile carrier AT&T very shortly.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 gears up with good features such as a 3.2 inch touch screen display, resolution of 480 x 360 pixels, QWERTY keyboard, a 5 MP camera with built in flash & auto focus, integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 1300 mAh battery, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of flash storage, 4GB of flash storage and a microSD card of 4GB.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 runs on BlackBerry OS 6 which provides tabbed browsing to use multiple tabs while surfing through the web pages. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is likely to be available from August 12th 2010 through AT&T. Stay tuned for more updates

AT&T Coverage: AT&T Coverage Improved in New York City: AT&T discussed on its call quality in New York City and here pops up a good news for all the AT&T users that the calls that were getting dropped have been lowered to 23% in Manhattan and the blocked call rate has been dropped to 39%.

The 3G users also get the benefit with the 3G speeds being increased by 31%. But for the folks in San Francisco will have to wait for the next 90 days as the better service has not been upgraded yet.

As we earlier heard that the Samsung Capivate comes with good specs and features, but the cost of the product remains budget friendly with a contract from AT&T.

The Samsung Capivate can be grabbed for $200 on a 24 months contract from 18th of July. FYI, the Samsung Capivate comes with the specification such as 5MP camera, 1GHZ processor, 16GB of Memory, 4 inch AMOLED display, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.
