Posted on 29 November 2011 by Barbara

Amazon Kindle Fire is rocking the market with its sales; the newly launched Kindle Fire touted the success of its sales by announcing that it is the retailer’s best-selling product, despite the fact that Amazon it did not reveal any actual sales figures of the Fire.

Amazon has announced that 2011’s Black Friday, has grabbed the Company the largest sales day of the year, was the best ever for Amazon’s Kindle family of products. Especially, the Amazon Kindle Fire, the color touchscreen tablet has been the bestselling product across all of Amazon from the time when it was initially introduced 8 weeks ago.

Amazon Kindle’s vice president, Dave Limp says that even before the busy holiday shopping weekend, we have already sold millions of the new Kindle family and Kindle Fire was the bestselling product across all of Amazon.com. Black Friday was the best ever for the Kindle family, where in customers purchased 4X as many Kindle devices as they did last Black Friday and last year was a great year.

Moreover he states that, we are seeing a lot of clientele buying multiple Kindles, one for them and others as gifts and we guess this trend to carry on on Cyber Monday and during the holiday shopping season.

On the other hand, Amazon’s press release as well features comments from executives at Best Buy and Target, who are appreciating the success of the Kindle Fire. Target had claimed that the Kindle Fire was its best-selling tablet on Black Friday.

However, Amazon has declined to announce the exact sales figures for the device, and this is the same strategy which Amazon has employed with earlier devices in the Kindle family.

Earlier this month, the Kindle Fire has strike the market and has been viewed as a low-cost tablet, which will compete with and potentially drive sales away from Android-powered tablets, rather than Apple’s iPad.
