Posted on 29 November 2011 by Barbara

Amazon Kindle Fire is rocking the market with its sales; the newly launched Kindle Fire touted the success of its sales by announcing that it is the retailer’s best-selling product, despite the fact that Amazon it did not reveal any actual sales figures of the Fire.

Amazon has announced that 2011’s Black Friday, has grabbed the Company the largest sales day of the year, was the best ever for Amazon’s Kindle family of products. Especially, the Amazon Kindle Fire, the color touchscreen tablet has been the bestselling product across all of Amazon from the time when it was initially introduced 8 weeks ago.

Amazon Kindle’s vice president, Dave Limp says that even before the busy holiday shopping weekend, we have already sold millions of the new Kindle family and Kindle Fire was the bestselling product across all of Amazon.com. Black Friday was the best ever for the Kindle family, where in customers purchased 4X as many Kindle devices as they did last Black Friday and last year was a great year.

Moreover he states that, we are seeing a lot of clientele buying multiple Kindles, one for them and others as gifts and we guess this trend to carry on on Cyber Monday and during the holiday shopping season.

On the other hand, Amazon’s press release as well features comments from executives at Best Buy and Target, who are appreciating the success of the Kindle Fire. Target had claimed that the Kindle Fire was its best-selling tablet on Black Friday.

However, Amazon has declined to announce the exact sales figures for the device, and this is the same strategy which Amazon has employed with earlier devices in the Kindle family.

Earlier this month, the Kindle Fire has strike the market and has been viewed as a low-cost tablet, which will compete with and potentially drive sales away from Android-powered tablets, rather than Apple’s iPad.

Motorola’s new smartphone Droid 4 will be landing on the Carrier; Verizon on December 8th. Quite attractively, this is the date for the rumored release date of Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Nexus.

Going on with the specs for the Droid 4, the specs mostly match those of the Droid Razr, with the clear addition of some extra features for the sliding keyboard. Well, the 4-inch qHD screen appears to be a holdover from the DROID 3. On the other hand, the leaked promotional material doesn’t mention a Super AMOLED panel like the RAZR, so it can be LCD or AMOLED?

The smartphone is equipped with a similar keyboard to what we have seen in the DROID 3, though with slightly more raised centers on the keys and a bit more space around the board. Further the phone has an 8-megapixel camera on the back capable of recording 1080p video, and no world on front camera but hope; it might be around 1.3-megapixels HDMI output, and full-HD 1080p video recording.

The device is having a 12.7mm thin, a hair thinner than the DROID 3, having a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP4430 processor, with 16GB of storage, with a 785mAh battery. Moreover, some of the sources familiar with the matter claim that the device would be running on Android 2.3.5.

Sadly, at the moment the Company did not reveal any information regarding the exact release date and price tag, but hope the release date would be December 8th.
